Come enjoy an evening of food, fellowship, and fun on July 11th at our annual FCW indoor picnic! This year we’re combining the picnic with a fun Luck of the Draw workshop guaranteed to get our creative juices flowing while tickling our funny bones at the same time. Yes, come prepared to laugh! We’re asking those who are willing to bring an idea—or two or three!—for a fun writing exercise or challenge for the group to do that evening. (Something like Tell a Story – where one person starts the story and ends their portion in mid-sentence, then the next person continues and so on around the circle as much laughter ensues!) We’ll put everyone’s ideas into a pot and through the luck of the draw, we’ll choose ideas and carry them out until we run out of time. A little slice of heaven for writers, right?!
Everyone plan to bring simple picnic or finger foods or snacks, ideas for the Luck of the Draw workshop, paper and pen for possible writing exercises/challenges, and a ready supply of writerly creativity and laughter.
