November Meeting: Kristy Werner | The Okie Author’s Indie Author Roadmap

November 10 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

You won’t want to miss this opportunity to learn from Kristy Werner at our November meeting!

The Okie Author’s Indie Author Roadmap guides writers mile by mile—from working with your completed draft to the moment you hold a professional‑quality novel in your hands. We’ll map out the route through editing, cover design, formatting, ISBNs, and choosing the right publishing platforms. Whether you’re striking out on your own for the first time or merging onto the indie path after traveling the traditional publishing highway, you’ll leave with a clear, well‑marked way forward that lets you bring your stories into the world with the easy rhythm of a familiar road under your wheels.

Kristy Werner is an award‑winning author of heartfelt, clean contemporary romance set in her beloved home state of Oklahoma. A Tulsa native and Oklahoma State University graduate, she grew up writing, drawing, and disappearing into stories long before she ever dreamed she’d publish her own.

Her novels—including the Tulsa Town Romance series and the Hearts of Osage County series—blend faith, hope, and emotional honesty with the landscapes and communities that shaped her. Whether she’s writing about big‑city streets or rolling prairies, Kristy’s characters cling to grace and grit as they navigate real‑world struggles on their way to hard‑won happily‑ever‑afters.

Kristy is a member of American Christian Fiction Writers and lives in Stillwater with her husband of nearly thirty years and near their two grown children. Learn more about Kristy and her books on her website.

Come join us in November for this incredible opportunity to learn more about the steps to becoming an indie published author. We hope to see you there!
