January Event: Cynthia Ruchti | What King David Knew
Join us for our first meeting of 2027 as Cynthia Ruchti, author and literary agent, speaks to us—exclusively by Zoom—on the topic of “What King David Knew.” As a writer, worshipper, and warrior, King David’s life and choices can serve as important guides for us as we navigate what it takes to find our way through all that writing requires of us, throws at us, and offers us. Attendees will discover what few address: the true heart of a writer. Many have described this talk as a turning point or as anchoring thoughts for those pursuing a writing endeavor that honors God.
Cynthia Ruchti brings to her career as a literary agent with Books & Such Literary Management decades in the publishing industry as well as a history of writing fiction and nonfiction for scripted radio, and her own more than 50 published books spanning both categories. Her tagline is “I can’t unravel. I’m hemmed in Hope.” That arches over everything she is and does. She and her grade school sweetheart husband live in the heart of Wisconsin, not far from their three children and seven grandchildren. Whether one of her debut or bestselling literary clients, or a new or veteran writer whose path crosses with hers, she approaches all with a heart to serve and help them grow to their full potential as they reach for their writing goals.
